Farmington will incorporate accurate traditional detailing and jointing into the client’s concept, with the knowledge and experience of any restrictions imposed by the preferred stone type and finished unit weights, ensuring a practical, economic and optimum overall design. Various restraint and support systems will be considered, so as not to compromise the final appearance of the finished masonry.
Dedicated computer aided design (CAD) technicians, with architectural masonry detailing experience, liaise continuously with the architect and engineer, ensuring coordinated information prior to production.

Farmington have a drawing office facility, which has a design team boasting a wealth of experience in stone design and production. We can also provide the services of a dedicated design team using the latest CAD technology to advise and help with any stone design project.
Farmington supplies all stone items from its facility in the Cotswolds. The sawing and profiling machinery provided at FNS offers 24-hour production.
Eight-tonne stone blocks straight from a Cotswold quarry or mine can be accommodated on the primary saws, with subsequent distribution to the circular secondary saws by a 5-tonne overhead crane.
Finished masonry is carried out both traditionally – with our team of time served masons using traditional tools and methods – and with modern tools and equipment to increase speed of production.
FNS continually invests to ensure the most efficient combination of machinery and craftsman is available to service the most demanding of projects. All stonework is individually checked and finished by FNS-trained banker masons prior to delivery or collection, to ensure the very highest quality.
Farmington provides a site fix service with directly employed qualified masons, Farmington trained specialist teams, or a combination of both. All fixer-masons are experienced in traditional masonry construction, including fixings and restraints and sensitive restoration techniques. Experienced masonry qualified managers will supervise all site work, maintaining close dialogue with associated trades and the main contractor to ensure a first-class finished and fitted product, from conception to construction.
